What is QRForge?
QRForge is an online tool for creating and managing dynamic QR codes.
A dynamic QR code does not hold your web address directly. It holds a short QRForge link. When someone scans the code, QRForge sends them on to the destination you chose. Because of this:
- You can change the destination after printing. The printed code stays the same.
- QRForge can count every scan, so you can see when and where your codes are used.
You use QRForge in your web browser at app.qrforge.link. There is nothing to install.
What you can do with QRForge
- Create QR codes for a website, a landing page, a phone number, a text message, an email, a calendar event, a business card, Wi-Fi details or a short piece of text. See QR code types explained.
- Change where a code points at any time. See Change where a QR code points.
- Design your codes with your own colours, styles and logo. See Design your QR code.
- Build landing pages. A landing page is a simple mobile web page that QRForge hosts for you. You build it from blocks such as text, images, buttons, opening hours and a menu. See Create a landing page.
- Create trails. A trail links several QR codes into a guided route, for example a walking tour or a museum visit. See What trails are.
- See your analytics: scans over time, countries, devices and more. See Scan analytics explained.
- Use your own web address (a custom domain), such as
links.example.com, instead ofqrforge.link. See Set up a custom domain.
Key ideas
- Project — a folder for your QR codes. Use one project per campaign, location, brand or client. Your account starts with a Default Project. See Organise with projects.
- Scan — one time someone scanned a code (or opened its link).
- Destination — the place a code sends people to, such as your website.
- Plan — your subscription. It sets how many QR codes you can have and which features you can use. See Plans and what's included.

How the app is laid out
When you sign in, the menu on the left has two parts:
- BUILD: Dashboard, Projects, My QRs, Create QR Code, Custom Domains and Trails.
- ACCOUNT: Subscription and Settings.
At the top of that menu you see the name of the project you are working in. Click it to switch to another project.
On larger screens there is a thin bar on the right edge. It has Updates (product news), Help Center and My Requests, where you can suggest a new feature.
