Create a landing page
A landing page is a simple mobile web page that QRForge hosts for you. People see it when they scan a Landing Page QR code. You do not need a website. You build the page in the Page Builder from ready-made blocks, such as a title, text, images, buttons, opening hours or a menu.
Landing pages are great for restaurant menus, event programmes, product information, property listings and the stops of a trail.
Step 1: Create a Landing Page QR code
- In the left menu, click Create QR Code.
- Choose Landing Page.
- Enter a QR Code Name, for example Lunch menu. QRForge also uses this name as the page's title, which you can change later.
- Click Create QR Code. The QR Code Preview screen opens.
Step 2: Open the Page Builder
- On the QR Code Preview screen, find QR Page Content.
- Click Create page. The Page Builder opens with an empty canvas.
Later, the same button says Edit page.
Step 3: Add blocks
- On the left is the Block Catalog. Blocks are grouped into Basics, Media, Actions, Lists, Real estate, Contact and Events. You can also type in Search blocks….
- Click a block to add it to your page.
- Fill in the block's details in the panel that opens.
- Add more blocks. Use Move up and Move down, or drag a block, to change the order.
A page can have up to 60 blocks. For what each block does, see the Blocks reference.
Step 4: Save and publish
- Click Save page to save your work. You see Saved when it is done.
- Click Publish. You see "Page published."
Your page is now live. Scan the QR code, or click View live page, to see it as your visitors will.
Until you publish, people who scan the code see "This page isn't ready yet". See Publish, save and undo.
Start from a template
On the Pro plan and above, you can reuse layouts:
- Load template replaces the current page with a saved template. Choose from Your Templates or System Templates.
- Save template saves the current page as a template you can use again. Give it a Template name, and optionally a description, category and tags.
Loading a template replaces everything on the current page. You are asked to confirm first.
Page settings
Click Page settings to set the page title, description, language, colours and whether search engines may list the page. See Page settings and SEO.
