Publish, save and undo

A landing page has two states:

  • Not published — only you can see it in the Page Builder. People who scan the code see a QRForge page saying "This page isn't ready yet".
  • Published — the page is live. Anyone who scans the code sees it.

Save your work

The button at the top of the Page Builder shows where you are:

  • Save page — you have changes that are not saved yet. Click it.
  • Saving… — QRForge is saving.
  • Saved — everything is saved.
  • Save failed with a Retry button — the save did not work. Click Retry.

Important: when a page is already published, saved changes go live straight away. Visitors see them on their next scan. Check your changes before you save.

Publish a page

  1. Open the page in the Page Builder.
  2. Click Publish.
  3. You see "Page published." The button now says Unpublish.

You can also click Publish page on the QR Code Preview screen, in QR Page Content.

To see the live page, click View live page, or scan the QR code.

Unpublish a page

  1. In the Page Builder, click Unpublish.
  2. Read the message and click Unpublish again.

People who scan the code now see "This page is currently offline" until you publish again. Your content is kept.

Undo and redo

  • Click Undo to take back your last change. Click Redo to bring it back.
  • When you remove a block, a message appears with an Undo button. Click it to get the block back.

Leaving with unsaved changes

If you try to leave the Page Builder with unsaved changes, QRForge asks "Leave with unsaved changes?" Choose:

  • Save & leave — save, then leave;
  • Discard — leave without saving;
  • Keep editing — stay on the page.

Editing the same page in two places

If the page was saved in another browser tab or on another device after you opened it, you see: "This page was changed in another tab or device. Reload to see the latest version."

  • Click Reload, then Discard and reload, to load the latest version. Your unsaved changes in this tab are discarded.
  • QRForge never lets an older tab overwrite a newer save without asking.

Tip: edit each page in one tab only.

QRForge does not keep a history of earlier versions of a page. To keep a copy of a layout, save it as a template (Pro plan and above). See Create a landing page.

Troubleshooting

"Publish failed — please try again." Check your internet connection and try again.

People see "This page isn't ready yet" The page has never been published. Click Publish.

People see "This page is currently offline" The page was unpublished. Click Publish.

People see "This code is no longer active" The QR code, or its project, is archived. See Archive and restore QR codes.

"The open panel has changes that are not saved yet." A block's settings panel is still open with changes. Click Save in the panel, or discard the changes, then continue.
