Organise with projects

A project is a folder for your QR codes. Every QR code, landing page and trail belongs to one project. Projects keep your work tidy and keep the analytics of different campaigns or clients apart.

Your account starts with one project, the Default Project.

Good ways to use projects

  • One project per campaign — Summer 2026, Grand opening.
  • One project per location — Main Street café, Airport kiosk.
  • One project per client, if you are an agency.
  • One project per brand, especially when each brand has its own custom domain. A custom domain is linked to exactly one project.

Create a project

  1. In the left menu, click Projects. You see My Projects.
  2. Click New Project.
  3. Enter a Project Name.
  4. Optionally add a short description of what the project is for.
  5. Click Create Project.

You can also create a project from the project switcher at the top of the left menu: click the project name, then Create new project.

The project list

My Projects shows every project with these columns:

  • Project Name
  • QR Codes — how many codes the project has
  • Integration — whether Google Analytics 4 is connected
  • Created
  • Actions — View project analytics, Archive project or Restore project

Use Search projects… to find a project by name.

Work inside a project

QRForge always works in one project at a time. The current project's name is shown at the top of the left menu. My QRs, Create QR Code, Trails and Analytics all use the current project.

To change it, see Switch projects.

Things to know

  • A QR code stays in its project. You cannot move a code to another project. If you need it elsewhere, create a new code in the other project.
  • Project names cannot be changed in the app at the moment. Choose a clear name when you create the project.
  • Trail stops must come from the trail's own project. A trail can only use landing pages from the same project. See Create a trail.
  • Your plan's limits are per account, not per project. Creating more projects does not give you more QR codes.

Archive a project

When a project is finished, you can archive it. All of its QR codes stop working until you restore it. See Archive a project.

Troubleshooting

"Could not create project. Please try again." Check your internet connection and try again.

I can't find my QR code It is probably in another project. Switch projects and look in My QRs again. See Switch projects.
