Design your QR code
You can give each QR code your brand's look: colours, shape styles and your logo in the middle. Changing the design never changes where the code points.
Open the design editor
- In the left menu, click My QRs.
- On the code's row, click Edit QR code. The QR Code Preview opens.
- Click Edit Design. The Edit QR Code window opens, with a live preview.
What you can change
Foreground Color The colour of the code itself. Choose a dark colour.
Background Color The colour behind the code. Choose a light colour. Turn on Background Transparent if you will place the code on your own artwork. Transparency is kept in PNG downloads.
Corner Style The shape of the three large squares in the corners.
Module Style The shape of the small dots that make up the code, for example square, rounded or dots.
Scan reliability How much of the code can be damaged or covered and still scan:
- Standard — Medium (15%). The densest code. Best for ideal conditions.
- Recommended — Quartile (25%). A good balance. Use this if unsure.
- Logo-ready — High (30%). Survives damage or a covered area.
When your code has a logo, this is locked to High (30%), so the logo does not stop it from scanning.
Brand Logo (Pro plan and above)
- Click Upload Logo and choose a PNG or JPEG image.
- Use Logo Size to make it bigger or smaller (10% to 28% of the code).
- To take it off, click Remove.
The logo is included in PNG downloads only, not in SVG.
When you are happy, click Apply.
The preview is close to the final result, but rounded styles are drawn exactly only in the final image. Always check the downloaded file.
Save a style to reuse
On paid plans you can save a design and apply it to other codes:
- Set up the design you like.
- Click Save current.
- Give the style a name, for example Brand blue, and click Save.
Your saved styles appear in the same window. Click one to apply it to the code you are editing. To delete one, choose Delete style.
Design tips
- Keep contrast high. Dark code, light background. Pale or inverted colours (light code on dark background) fail on many phones.
- Keep the logo small. A smaller logo scans more reliably.
- Test after every change. Download the code and scan it with two phones.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the logo section Custom logos are available on the Pro plan and above. See Plans and what's included.
"This file isn't a PNG, JPEG or GIF image" Choose a PNG or JPEG file for the logo.
"This file is larger than 50 MB" Make the image smaller and try again. A logo rarely needs to be bigger than a few hundred kilobytes.
"Failed to save changes. Please try again." Check your internet connection and click Apply again.
The code stopped scanning after I changed the design Go back to a darker foreground, a lighter background, a smaller logo, or the square styles. Then test again.
